HYPOCRISY

To try to convince yourself and everyone else that it is wrong, dead, dead wrong for other people to do the very things that you indulge in the most, takes a certain ingenuity and resolve.

As such, you may well advance far in any area of life which is based on (im)morality: namely, politics, religion and law.

And deep down inside you will know yourself as a liar and fraud.

You want to live with that?

I know that you can come up with some smart argument to disprove everything I’ve said, and to justify exactly why what is wrong for other people is right for you, and …

Deep down inside you will know yourself as a liar and fraud.

You want to live with that?

The first step out of this is to acknowledge to yourself, “I am a liar and a hypocrite”; and to ask yourself, “How can I put all the creativity and resourcefulness that I display in being a liar and a hypocrite, to another use?”
