Home has got nothing to do with where you live. It has everything to do with how comfortable and secure you are wherever you are. So, no matter where you are, feel at home.

There are houses that are worth millions. Really?

If you think about it, almost all of a house is empty space. This space is contained within fixed boundaries, consisting of bricks, cement, concrete, pretty much. Some people spend an absolute fortune trying to make their confines as spanking and sparkling as possible.

But who cares how you dress up your walls? They are just barriers keeping people out. You can have as many Rodans and Monets as you want, and you are still cutting yourself off from other people. That’s not good.

And as for your furniture, is it comfortable and practical? If I visited you, that would concern me far more than whether you have some diamond-encrusted leopard-skin sofa from Tanzania.

If you really want to make your home nicer and grander, stop focusing on the peripherals, and make your thoughts nicer and grander. Ultimately, it is the atmosphere that makes all the difference not the chandeliers.
